hypnagogia
Nele Gallmetzer
„Hypnagogia is the transition between wakefulness and sleep. During this state, it’s common to experience visual, audio, or other types of hallucinations.“

Attempting to catch and replicate the feeling of fleeting impressions in the moment between wakefulness and sleep – sleep and wakefulness, „hypnagogia“ mimics the flow of pictures one experiences and forgets about in a matter of seconds in this state.
Like the impressions blurring and disappearing once one tries to get a hold of them, it duplicates the whimsical and seemingly random nature of such experiences.
Just like the real experience, „hypnagogia“ does not necessarily aim to be understood, but is more of a sensation to be felt and a memory to linger in the back of ones mind.
